Do you offer a warranty with your product?

• Residential Warranty: Broadleaf warrants that the floor systems installed will not peel, or blister due to improper surfaces preparation, or installation. If verified peeling or blistering occur and a claim is received within ten (10) years, the affected area will be repaired at no cost to the customer.
• Commercial/Industrial Warranty: Broadleaf warrants that the floor systems installed will not peel, or blister due to improper surfaces preparation, or installation. If verified peeling or blistering occur and a claim is received within two (1) years to five (5) years, the affected area will be repaired at no cost to the customer. Commercial/Industrial warranty lengths vary due to application settings and industry standard.

Each year millions of dollars are spent on coating systems that fail due to inadequate surface preparation or improper installation. The most substantial cost of coating is not the product itself, but the cost associated with the proper surface preparation and application of the coating system. Many DIY coatings last about 1-2 years before peeling and flaking occurs. Professionally applied Broadleaf floors will last several years when properly maintained.

The installation time varies depending on system selection. Most systems take 2-3 days. All systems will accept light foot traffic in 24 hours and vehicle traffic in 3 days.

Costs vary based on the condition of the concrete, size of the floor, and the options selected. An approximate range can be given over the phone and Broadleaf offers free in-home estimates.

A properly maintained Broadleaf floor coating will last 15+ years.

All open cracks and heavily spalled areas will be patched and diamond ground as flat as possible. Expansion joints will be honored (allow for expansion and contraction of concrete).

Broadleaf floor coatings are highly chemical-resistant to road salt, gasoline, motor oil, and many other chemicals.

A floor coating’s performance depends on adequate surface preparation. Epoxy floor coatings ideally bond to concrete with a rough, sandpaper finish, this is best accomplished using shot blasting machine. Industry standards no longer endorse acid etching as a proper method for surface preparation. Chemical etching is wet, kills vegetation, brings disposability issues, and only lightly abrades the surface.

For the first seven days after installation, use water only if you need to clean your new floor. After the first week, the highy durable surface is easily cleaned with neutral soaps or detergents. We recommend using a cleaner such as Simple Green; agitate with a mop or soft brush, followed by a thorough rinse. If the floor becomes slippery due to oil, auto fluid spills, or soap film, promptly remove contaminant and rinse thoroughly. For heavily soiled areas scrubbing with a soft brush may be required.

Our standard epoxies consist of 100% solids, which mean there is minimal odor. However, if a non-standard material is used (urethanes and polyureas), people that are sensitive to odors are encouraged to avoid the coated areas until coating has cured (4-8 hours).

Broadleaf’s standard epoxy topcoat material has UV blockers that retard discoloration. Broadleaf does offer additional non-standard urethanes and polyureas topcoats for the ultimate UV protection.

From the beginning of the job, until 24 hours after the last coat is applied, the work area is off limits to everyone except the installation crew. This includes pets. This is to insure proper curing of the materials and the integrity of your floor.
